Bulgaria: the largest price increase was observed in Sofia

Bulgarian National Statistical Institute (NSI) has published new Property Price Index. Throughout the country, the price index for residential property in the fourth quarter of 2014 increased by 1.2% - and 0.7% compared to the third quarter of 2014. This was reported in the official document issued by the NSI this week.

In the fourth quarter of 2014 in 13 regional centers of the country, as well as in the region of Sofia was an increase in the price index for residential real estate. The most significant increase was noted in Burgas, 1.5% in Stara Zagora 1.4% and 1.3% Ruza. In the 14 regional centers in the price index, in contrast, fell. Compared to the prices in 2013 prices rose most significantly in Sofia - 2.9%, Shumen (2.8%) and Plovdiv (2.7%), according to a report NSI.

The fourth quarter of 2014 the average market value of residential real estate was BGN 874,49 ($ 511,78) per 1 sq. m. The high housing prices - the capital Sofia BGN 1501,73 ($ 878,86) per 1 sq. m, as well as in Varna BGN 1393,17 ($ 815,33) and Burgas BGN 1162,83 ($ 680,53).
