Bulgaria features continental climate with clearly marked four seasons.
Geographically
and in terms of climate, Bulgaria features notable diversity, with the
landscape ranging from the Alpine snow-capped peaks in Rila, Pirin and
the Balkan Mountains ti the mild and sunny weather of the black sea
coast, from the typically continental Danubian Plain(anciend Moesia) in
the north to the strong Mediterranean influence in the valleys of
Macedonia and the lowlands in the southernmost parts of Thrace.
Bulgaria
comprises portions of the classical regions of Thrace, Moesia, and
Macedonia. The mountainous southwest has two alpine ranges – Rila and
Pirin – and further east stand the lower but much more extensive Rhodope
Mountains. Rila mountain includes the highest peak on the Balkan
Peninsula, peak Musala at 2,925 metres (9,596 ft); the long range of the
Blakan Mountain runs west – east through the middle of the country,
north of the famous Rose Valey.
There are around 260 glacial lakes in
Rila and Pirin, several large lakes on the Black Sea coast and more
than 2,200 dam lakes. Mineral springs are in great abundance all over
the country.
A mild Mediterranean influence is felt in the country,s
southern region and the Black Sea coast, where the average summer
temperature rarely exceed 30 C .
The varied relief, unique natural
resources and great historical heritage make Bulgaria one of the best
holliday destinations in Europe. The country is also famous famous for
its ecological food product and spa centres. Bulgaria is well an ideal
place for hunting, skiing and golf.
Having in mind the above said, the low cost of living and the much lower prices of real estate,
at the moment Bulgaria gives higher value for money then Spain and Greece for example.
Following
the country,s transition to a free market economy, the development of

conditions – beautifull coastline with golden sands, luscious vegetation
, picturesque river valleys and gorges, many caves, and mineral spring
various in their temperature and composition. The protected natural
reservations are rich in rare plants, animals and rock formations. The
traces of the past can be seen everywhere –archaelogical, architectural,
historical and ethnographic remains.
