The Bulgarian housing market is growing again, but unevenly – in some non-resort cities there was also a slight decline.
In the 2nd quarter, according to the Registration Agency, Burgas was in the lead. The number of deals concluded at this resort increased by 43.1% compared to the same period last year.
In the first six months of 2024, real estate sales in Burgas exceeded even the levels of the first half of 2022, followed by a year and a half of decline.
Statistics for other cities in Bulgaria.
Varna: 3953 transactions for the 2nd quarter (+4.2% year-on-year). In the 1st half of the year, sales increased by 7.8% year-on-year, but did not reach the figures for the same period in 2022.
Sofia: 9641 transactions for the 2nd quarter (+12% YoY). In the 1st half of the year, 16,939 transactions (+13% year-on-year), sales almost reached the level of 2022.
Plovdiv: 4090 transactions for the 2nd quarter (-2% YoY). In the first half of the year - 7455 (-0.5% YoY). Sales are still far from the level of 2022.
In Ruse and Stara Zagora recorded a decrease in transactions both in the 2nd quarter and in the 1st half of this year.
Nessebar: 2,276 transactions in the 2nd quarter (+1.8%).
In Tsarevo sales increased by 5.5%. At the same time in Balchik, Kavarne and Pomorie recorded a decline, the strongest in Kavarna by 20.9%.
In Bansko in the 2nd quarter, the number of registered contracts increased by 11.4% year-on-year, in Pamporovo and Borovets decreased by 3.9% and 12.6%, respectively.
A decrease in sales was also observed in Blagoevgrad by 4.8%, in Veliko Tarnovo by 6% and in Pleven by 8.3%.
General statistics for the country: 54,379 transactions were registered in the 2nd quarter (+8% year-on-year). For the first half of the year, sales reached 98,178 (-0.7% year-on-year), they are still 15% lower compared to the 1st half of 2022.
