Poland, Bulgaria and Lithuania led the growth of housing prices in the EU in the 1st quarter of 2024

Statistics published Eurostat real estate prices for the 1st quarter of 2024. House prices fell by 0.4% in the eurozone and rose by 1.3% in the EU compared to the same quarter of the previous year. 

In the 4th quarter of 2023, house prices fell by 1.2% in the eurozone and increased by 0.2% in the EU. 

Among the Member States for which data are available, housing has risen in price in 7 over the year, and in 19 it has fallen in price.

The largest price drops were recorded in Luxembourg(-10.9%), Germany(-5.7%) and France(-4.8%).

The largest growth occurred in Poland (+18.0%),Bulgaria (+16.0%), Lithuania(+9.9%), Croatia (+9.1%). This is followed by Estonia (+7.8%), Portugal (+7%), Spain (+6.4%), Slovenia (+6.3%).
